Audio-Technica AT-LP120USBHCBK USB Turntable Product Description
I have had this player for a few months now. I bought it after doing a bit of research online on good quality turntables. I am into music and casually DJ for friends’ parties. I own a portable vinyl player but the quality isn’t the best so I was looking for something with better output and more options.
It’s a bit expensive and I had to use my birthday gift vouchers and savings to get this but I have no regrets at all. The player is great for playing records across all genres of music. The speaker sound and quality is fantastic and enough to get people going even on its own.
The build quality of the Audio-Technica AT-LP120USBHCBK USB Turntable is pretty solid. It has superb cushioning under the device to stop vibration bounces when put on a surface. This makes mixing records quite easy.
It has three speed adjustments, common in most turntables. The tonearm is easy to use for fine-tuning with soft damping control.
The player came with USB cable and plug-n-play software. I have spent hours mixing and playing records on this device. It has both forward and reverse play, which is excellent when running tunes.
It has auto-stop but one feature I would like to see is an auto-return. When playback ends on one side, the rotation stops but the needle stays on the record. You can always pick it up and return it to the side so it isn’t a major issue. I was also impressed by the well constructed needle drop.
For a bigger audience, you can connect the device to a sound system and get a solid output. All in all, I am very impressed. Audio Technica is a recognized brand in audio equipment and this player certainly delivers. I highly recommend it.
